Disciples Women encourages all women to serve God’s mission in our congregations, our communities and our world.
Our Vision
As daughters of God, inspired by scripture and informed by heritage and history, we believe that God calls us to be an intentionally inclusive community, empowering all Disciples women to be full partners in the life of the church.
Our Goal
We intend to be an organization where every woman is valued, nurtured and encouraged to use her gifts for the whole body of Christ, one that ministers to, with, for and by all women, and one that is anti-racist and pro-reconciling.
Ministries and Projects

| Food Collection | Coordinates food drives for non-perishable food items and cash donations for perishable food to feed families in the community |
| Seasonal Gifts | Prepares holiday items for Ponca City Nursing Home residents, persons receiving hospice service, and for children at the Child Development Center |

| Mitten Tree | Collects gloves, mittens, stocking caps and socks for children at Lincoln Elementary |
| Blessing Boxes | A traditional ministry of the Disciples Women denomination-wide, the Sarah Group at Community contributes generously to this offering. Half of the proceeds serve national and worldwide needs, and half is returned to Oklahoma for distribution by Disciples Women in the Oklahoma Region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). |
| Pioneer Spirit | Provides the Community Christian Church congregation with the opportunity to make donations to this program for service women and men stationed overseas. |
| Card Ministry | Purchases and sends get-well, birthday and sympathy cards to members and friends of Community Christian Church. |
| Blanket Sunday | Receives cash donations from the congregation for the purchase of blankets, seeds, tools and other items donated to those in need and who have been affected by disasters. |
